MORE THAN JUST AN ORDINARY LIFT:

SKIING, APRÈS-SKI, FUNPARK, FLOODLIGHTS & MORE

Since its opening in 1959, the Kessler lift has provided skiing fun year after year without exception. Numerous beginners have learnt to ski here. The freestyle and boarder scene meets here at the Crystal Ground Funpark. And in the afternoons, it's not just skis that are turned, but also good drinks and dancing at the umbrella bar. 

Tip: The Kessler Lift is part of the IG Skipass Oberstdorf-Kleinwalsertal - an association of all ski lifts and cable cars in the region. Day tickets, multi-day tickets and season tickets for the ski region are valid here. You can also buy them in our shop or book them directly online in advance. 

Figures, data and facts about the Kessler lift:

  • Open from the beginning of December to April (White Sunday)
  • Guaranteed snow: completely covered with artificial snow
  • Centrally located in Riezlern, right next to the Kanzelwand cable car
  • Training lift for the Kleinwalsertal ski team

Nightskiing at Kessler Lift

We are back in winter 24/25:
Wednesdays, 7.00 pm - 9.00 pm, from mid-December 2024 to mid-March 2025

From mid-December 24 to mid-March 25, we also start our Kessler lift on Wednesdays from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm - skiing with a special night-time flair.

The FUNPARK FoR KIDS & PROS

The Crystal Ground Funpark is part of the Crystal Family - 3 fun parks in the two-country ski resort of Oberstdorf-Kleinwalsertal. Located directly at the Kessler lift, the Crystal Ground is the meeting point for freestylers and boarders. 

Since its foundation in 2005, the snow park has made a name for itself among freestyle fans far beyond the Alpine region. The advantages of the Crystal Ground are obvious: the proximity to the village centre, its own floodlight system, the sunny park base with deckchairs and music and, last but not least, a monthly changing setup make this snowpark so popular with riders.

Facts & figures about the Crystal Ground:

  • Right in the centre, easily accessible
  • Offers for beginners, kids and advanced skiers
  • Snow-covered park, in operation from mid-December
  • floodlights in the park every Wednesday in the winter season (mid-December to mid-March): until 9.00 pm

Ski - & Boardservices

Regular service for your winter sports equipment is the be-all and end-all. We are the service workshop in Kleinwalsertal with high-end service machines and offer you everything from simple waxing, edge and structure tuning to a comprehensive race service: for alpine skis, snowboards and cross-country skis.

Simply book your service in advance, including the day you want. This saves you having to check in on site or stand in line, simply hand in your winter sports equipment and it will be ready for collection from 8.30 am the next day.

Party at après ski without the hassle of ski boots? Simply leave your skis in the locker and not carry them to the hotel? Slip into heated boots in the morning?

It's all possible with one of our state-of-the-art ski depots.
